What You'll Need to Get Started

Setting up for success doesn't require a massive tech budget—but knowing what works makes all the difference.

Look, we've seen people show up with laptops from 2012 expecting to run complex financial modelling software. And we've watched others spend thousands on equipment they don't really need. Neither approach works particularly well.

Our platform runs smoothly on most modern devices, but there are a few specifics worth knowing before you commit. We're not asking for cutting-edge hardware—just enough capability to handle video conferencing, screen sharing, and web-based applications without constant buffering or crashes.

This page breaks down exactly what you need. No vague recommendations or marketing fluff. Just straightforward requirements based on what actually works for our participants in Australia and beyond.

The most common issue we see? People trying to run everything over shared Wi-Fi in busy households. It leads to dropped connections during important sessions.

If you can, use an ethernet cable for stability. Otherwise, make sure you're closest to the router during scheduled sessions. We run technical checks before programs start in August 2025, so you'll know if adjustments are needed.

We've designed everything to be browser-based specifically so you don't need special software installations. That said, some participants prefer downloading materials for offline review.

Our September 2025 intake will include mobile app access for reading materials, though the main sessions still work best on laptops or desktops. Tablets can work in a pinch, but typing responses gets tedious on smaller screens.

A Quick Word About Accessibility

Our platform supports screen readers and keyboard navigation. If you use assistive technology, contact us before enrolling—we'll walk through your setup to make sure everything works smoothly. We've worked with participants using JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver successfully, though some third-party tools may need configuration adjustments.
